Leah Dixon builds sculptures and spatial interventions that address mythologies which have shaped my consumption of socio-political events as an American woman. Her work culminates in sculptures that address the space where bodies and architecture collide - fallen monuments, games, the military, nightlife and other public meeting places. I build all of my work by hand via labor-intensive processes - resulting in geometric material protests that question historical accuracies, and national propaganda.
